Chalks Early Jewel Tomato Seeds

Chalk’s Early Jewel Tomato is a historic heirloom variety, first developed by James Chalk of Norristown, Pennsylvania, and introduced in 1899. It gained prominence when the Stokes Company released it in 1904. This indeterminate tomato variety is known for its early ripening. The regular-leafed vines of ‘Chalk’s Early Jewel’ are vigorous and productive. Its fruits are smooth, generally uniformly red in color, globe to flattened-globe shaped, and typically range from two to six ounces each, with some larger sized tomatoes occurring occasionally. The tomatoes deliver a classic, balanced flavor, neither too tart nor too sweet, and have remained commercially available since their introduction over a century ago.
