Developed in 1963 by the USDA in Prosser, Washington from a cross of A501-13 and Kennebec, released in 1973 and registered in Canada in 1977. Produces oblong tubers with smooth russeted skin, shallow eyes, and white flesh. High dry-matter content gives it a floury, fluffy texture suited for baking, roasting, boiling, chips, and fries. Stores very well due to a long dormancy period. Plants handle heat and dry conditions reliably and produce a high percentage of clean, marketable tubers with minimal internal bruising. 1 pound per order. As with all the potatoes I sell, these are sold as eating potatoes and what you do with them is your choice.
