$4.00

Compact, bushy variety known for its striking bicolored blooms. The petals typically feature bold red or mahogany stripes against a golden-yellow background, creating a vibrant contrast. These marigolds thrive in full sun and well-drained soil, blooming from summer until the first frost.

Often used in companion planting, they help repel pests like nematodes and aphids. Their history dates back centuries, with early botanical illustrations appearing in Curtis’s Botanical Magazine in 1791. Though not recorded in Jefferson’s gardens, they are now popular in historical and ornamental plantings. Rare. 30 seeds.
