The Heart and Soil of Garden Faerie Botanicals
Welcome to Garden Faerie Botanicals, a labour of heirloom seed-saving love borne from a deep passion for preserving biodiversity and ensuring future food security. I am Susan, the founder of this endeavor, and I am honoured to have you join me on this journey.
As a proud member of the Canadian Seeds of Diversity and the Seed Savers Exchange, I am dedicated to preserving and sharing rare heirloom seeds. These organizations serve as invaluable networks, connecting like-minded individuals who understand the importance of safeguarding our agricultural heritage and the diversity of our precious plant species. Through my involvement with these groups, I have been able to access an extensive array of rare and endangered heirloom seeds many of which I am thrilled to share with you.
Garden Faerie Botanicals has been built upon the foundation of my last venture called Goddess Grown Heirlooms. I have begun to expand my seed collection by focusing on short-season heirloom varieties that are suitable for the future challenges posed by the Grand Solar Minimum. I am committed to providing you with seeds that have never been treated with chemicals, fungicides, or pesticides, guaranteeing their purity and vibrancy for generations to come.
Through my blog posts and podcast, titled “In The Garden with Susan,” I aim to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to save these heirloom seeds, allowing you to become self-sufficient in your gardening endeavors and eliminating the need to purchase them in the future. Join me in the rewarding practice of seed saving, and let’s nurture a legacy of rare seeds together.
Discover the enchanting world of Garden Faerie Botanicals, where every seed represents a pledge to safeguard our world’s biodiversity and ensure food security for future generations.
