Far North Melon

Originally developed in Saskatchewan in 1936, these small, slightly netted gems were bred to survive where most melons would never dream of ripening.

I sowed mine directly in the field in mid-June, under drought-like conditions, with irregular watering and shade creeping in by mid-afternoon. They took their time, ripening late in the season—but when they did, each melon was sweet, fragrant, and proof that resilience can taste like sunshine.

If your growing season is short and your soil is cool, let these little treasures inspire your garden. They are super yummy single serving melons. 60 dtm. 25 seeds
