(Solanum lycopersicum) Introduced in 1882 by pioneering seedsman Alexander W. Livingston of Columbus, Ohio, this unique tomato variety has become a historical gem. Livingston, famous for introducing numerous tomato varieties to the Great Lakes region around the turn of the 20th century, fondly described it as “a very pretty yellow tomato.” The plants are vigorous and productive, producing medium-sized, round fruits (approximately 3½” in diameter, 3-5 ounces). The golden-yellow fruit is highlighted by a distinctive red blush at the blossom end, offering both visual appeal and exceptional flavour.

These tomato seeds are available directly from Garden Faerie Botanicals in the heart of British Columbia, Canada. The collection features heirloom and heritage seeds that are personally cultivated organically without the use of any chemicals. Emphasizing historical, rare, non-GMO seeds, this selection preserves biodiversity through open-pollination.
