It is a Dutch Princess type, celebrated for its excellent taste and preservation qualities. Often referred to as ‘dubbele witte’, it stands as the benchmark for Dutch Beans. I was not very fond of this variety the first year I grew it. Oddly, it has grown on me! During the 2024 season, it endured drought conditions and still did amazing. It is a great flavoured bean that I enjoyed in many sun oven recipes.
