A mystery Jerusalem Artichoke plant appeared in the garden. I had been pulling all the volunteers up as many grew where no tubers were planted last year. I think they came from the seeds that the flowers make.
I left this plant to grow as I thought it was a giant hyssop at first. Was shocked when I saw the late Sunchoke Flowers appear.
Was thinking it was the Purple valley, yet it grew so far away from where the tubers were planted. When I harvested the plant, it had a different tuber set. More concentrated than the Beaver valley.
