Tagetes tenuifolia
Marigold, ‘Gems’
$4.50
A 12–18″ mounding plant that produces a nonstop display of petite marigold blooms in shades ranging from classic deep reddish-orange to dusty tangerine and lemon yellow. Their bright colours, lacy foliage, and lightly citrusy scent draw in a wide range of beneficial and predatory insects.
Blooming right through to frost, they’re a charming, long-lasting addition to salads and desserts. Also known as Signet or Mexican marigolds, these plants have been grown in the Americas since at least the late 1700s. Both the flowers and the leaves are edible, and the plants are drought tolerant. 60 dtm. 4 seeds
